As mentioned, upon receiving recognition through the university, we are officially a club! With spring break a mere four days away, warm weather and outdoor gardening is in our reach. Currently, we have been planning a FUNdraising and awareness event, A Night Under the Stars, inviting the Mason community to an organization which could impact the environmental well being of the university. Individual efforts of container gardening in dorm rooms is an additional route being taken for fundraising. In the near future, hopefully the week we return from spring break, I will be holding a kiosking event and hopefully a thrift and bake sale (grounded on a blanket in a popular plot of grass on campus if warm enough). I will post updates on dates and times for this event, but hope everyone will be able to contribute in some way to this. Though this will hopefully raise some money, it will more importantly help to get our name out to the public before our big event. Great start to a great organization everyone, keep it up with the exciting and innovative ideas!
