November in the Garden.

Standard

Greetings all!

So a couple of weeks ago we had our Harvest Party! It was a fantastic chance to work with GMU-CAFE as well as use fresh produce from the garden. The garden is still producing even now with the threat of frost (as I write this I stare at a very large box of salad greens on the floor of my living room)! We are working on the prep for re-vamping the garden with raised beds on the side with the drainage issue and primitive beds on the other side. Soon we will be planting cover crops and pulling up the plants. I am hoping our tomatoes turn red once we do this!

So if you want to figure out what the best day to volunteer is, let me know at awall@masonlive.gmu.edu

we would love to see you out there; also as a reminder, garden hours have been reduced to Tuesday/Thursday 4:30-6:30 and we have a meeting this Thursday 11/4.

If you ever wanted to help or have peppers or lettuce, now is the time!!!! 🙂
