August in the garden is not a verb, we have been augusting the garden during the past week or so. There are so many things to harvest. Last Friday, we donated 19 lbs. to the James Mott Community Center Food Bank. They were so busy with hungry families in Fairfax, so all the food was surely taken.
Sweet corn is sprouting its hair tufts.
Weighing Okra. We’ve been getting 6 lbs. a week.
About 44 lbs. of peaches. They all have bug infestations and mold spots, therefore we cannot donate or sell them, but we’re giving them away to anyone who wants ’em.
This is one of our impressive, baby pumpkins. We made mini chairs for them so that they won’t rot where they touch the ground.
This is a 2 lb. cucumber on the scale. Woah
“Quickles” were made with vinegar using the 2 lb. cucumber. It filled a quart jar.
